  • The Equus Effect 37 Drum Road Sharon, CT, 06069 United States (map)

Our 2023 Fieldcraft Survival series recap.

Fieldcraft 201 | Spring

Join Another Summit in part 2 of our spring season fieldcraft survival series taking place Saturday, June 22 to Sunday, June 23.

Instructed by Jon Turner — a USMC veteran from Vermont — this 2-part fieldcraft survival series will provide methods to cover basic needs of survival in the wilderness — Shelter, Water, Fire, Food and Tools — by using modern and primitive resources. Each class will highlight multiple approaches to meet these basic needs and there will be several opportunities to test gear in the field.

The 201 class will provide you with a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of wilderness survival and the tools and techniques you'll need to survive, with fewer resources than the 101 class. This is a continuation of our Fieldcraft 101 class, so if you haven’t taken the 101 class or done one of our previous Fieldcraft workshops, you won’t be able to take this one. Don’t worry though! If you miss either of our spring classes you can take them in the fall.

The intent of this series is to build a mindset that increases the capability of survival if confronted with adversity, but to also provide a skillset to work on projects while sitting around the fire at camp which include — containers & utensils, cordage, friction fire sets and traps & triggers. We will also highlight medicinal and functional properties of plants in the region.

Transportation provided from Beacon, NY to the workshop location in Sharon, CT. Class runs from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day with a break for lunch. Another Summit is able to provide all the necessary gear for participants who need it.
