ABOUT THE Event

This event brings together community, families, departments, and teams to compete, remember, and stand in support of those who serve.

  • 5K Run / Walk

  • Kids 1/2 Mile Fun Run

  • Virtual 5K Run / Walk option available

  • Team & department competition encouraged

  • Awards for fastest team, largest team, individual top finishers

  • T-shirts for those who register prior to May 1, 2026

Participants are encouraged to register as part of a team (teams may have unlimited participants).

Teams may represent fire departments, police departments, EMS agencies, military units, businesses, gyms, running clubs, families, or other community organizations.

Trophies will be awarded for:

  • Fastest Team (determined by the combined finish times of the top five runners from each team)

  • Largest Department Team (fire, police, EMS, or military organization)

  • Largest Community Team (business, gym, running club, or community group)

AWARDS

Medals will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age group:

  • 19 and Under

  • 20–29

  • 30–39

  • 40–49

  • 50–59

  • 60+

Special recognition medals will also be awarded to these individual top finishers:

  • Fastest Veteran

  • Fastest First Responder

Kids HALF Mile Fun Run

Our Kids 1/2 Mile Run gives young runners the chance to participate and experience race day before the 5K begins. Medals for all Kids 1/2 Mile Run participants! Open to children of all abilities.

Can’t make it out in-person? No worries!

Join in on the fun virtually in your preferred area. We will mail you a t-shirt and Guardian Revival swag.

5K RUN / WALK

Enjoy a scenic out-and-back course along Lake Gleneida on the Putnam Trailway, capped off with a challenging uphill finish to earn your victory.

Family and friends are encouraged to join in on the fun and come cheer on their runners!

All registrations for the Guardian Revival 5K will receive a swag kit:

  • In-person participants: pick yours up at the event on May 17th!

  • Virtual participants: we will ship your kit to you. (Shipping is included in your registration fee.)

  • Kids participating in the free 1/2 mile fun run will also get a kid-friendly mini swag bag

  • The Guardian Revival 5K will take place on May 17, 2026.

    Parking, check-in, and kick-off will be at the Paladin Center.
    39 Seminary Hill Rd, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512

    Registration is from 8:30 am to 10:00 am.

    The Kids Half Mile Fun Run will begin at 9:30 am.

    The 5K run/walk begins at 10:30 am.

    Additional race details will be emailed to registered participants as the event approaches.

  • Participants can register for:

    • The 5K Run / Walk

    • The Kids ½ Mile Fun Run

    • Virtual 5K Run / Walk

    All events are open to runners and walkers of all experience levels.

  • Yes. The in-person 5K race at the Paladin Center in Carmel, NY is a fully timed race, and participants will receive offical finish times after the event.

  • Awards will be presented for the Fastest Team, the Largest Team, and individual top finishers in the Guardian Revival 5K. These awards recognize both team performance and individual race results.

  • No. The Guardian Revival 5K in Carmel, NY is a rain-or-shine event and will proceed in most weather conditions.

  • Yes. Team participation is strongly encouraged, and you can join with friends, family, coworkers, or community groups.

    First responder and military teams—including Fire, Police, EMS, Corrections, and Military units—are especially welcome. You can create or join a team during registration through RunSignUp.

  • Yes. A Kids’ ½ Mile Fun Run will take place before the 5K in Carmel, NY.

    The fun run is open to children of all abilities and is a great way for families to participate together.

    Strollers are not recommended due to the width of the running path.

  • Yes. The Guardian Revival 5K is open to both runners and walkers, and participants are welcome to move at their own pace.

  • You can register online through RunSignUp.

  • Yes. Parking, check‑in, and race kick‑off will all be at the Paladin Center, located at 39 Seminary Hill Rd, Carmel Hamlet, NY 10512.
