Poughkeepsie, NY - April 30, 2026 - Marshall+Sterling, in partnership with Guardian Revival’s Boots & Paws program, supported the awarding of a companion dog to a local veteran and first responder, marking the program’s fourth placement this year and reflecting Marshall+Sterling’s broader Impact+ commitment to strengthening health and well-being across the communities it serves.

Hudson Valley Magazine article highlighting Co-Founder Alex Othmer’s story and the development of Guardian Revival & our free, transformative programs — outdoor adventures (primarily offered in the Hudson Valley), companion dogs, music (including our recording studio at GR HQ in Beacon), and peer services (support via group gatherings, direct 1:1 private sessions, and non-crisis talk line).

The New York Post included one of our Boots & Paws companion dog recipients in an article about the value of dogs in helping veterans with PTSD: “Military veterans say these dogs saved them from crippling PTSD — ‘He’s totally changed my life’”

Putnam County Department of Parks and Recreation and Guardian Revival have been working over the past three years to make the Guardian Dog Park project happen. The 50,000-square-foot accessible and contained area will be used for residents to recreate with their dogs in a safe setting.

The Webutuck Central School District shared photos and an update about our therapy dog visits to several district schools, providing both students & staff with the opportunity to learn more about therapy dogs as well as enjoy interacting with them.
