Guardian Revival is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting military, veterans, first responders, and their families through trauma-informed programming, peer support, and community-based wellness initiatives. Our mission is to revive and preserve the mental health and well-being of those who serve our communities and our nation.
Our programs — all provided free of charge for guardians — include peer support, outdoor activities, music, companion dogs, family events, fitness, wellness experiences, and more. Funds raised from individual donors, foundations, our Champions (athletes), and several campaigns throughout the year (including our One Mile Challenge) enable these life-changing opportunities.
Position Summary
The Development Associate plays a key role in supporting Guardian Revival's fundraising, donor engagement, and development operations.
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, this position is responsible for maintaining donor records, processing gifts, supporting fundraising campaigns and events, coordinating donor stewardship activities, and providing administrative support to the development function.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and passionate about supporting Guardian Revival's mission to serve military personnel, veterans, first responders, and their families.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Donor & Development Operations
Process and record donations accurately across all fundraising platforms.
Maintain donor records and constituent databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Generate donor reports, mailing lists, and fundraising analytics as requested.
Coordinate donor acknowledgments, tax receipts, and stewardship communications.
Assist with gift reconciliation and collaborate with finance staff to ensure accurate reporting.
Fundraising Support
Support annual campaigns, giving days, peer-to-peer fundraising efforts, and special fundraising initiatives.
Assist with sponsorship tracking, fulfillment, and donor communications.
Coordinate fundraising mailings and digital outreach efforts.
Track fundraising progress and maintain campaign documentation.
Event Support
Provide logistical and administrative support for fundraising events and community engagement activities.
Assist with registration management, sponsorship tracking, volunteer coordination, and event follow-up.
Support donor cultivation and stewardship events.
Administrative Support
Schedule meetings and maintain calendars related to development activities.
Prepare meeting materials, donor briefings, and presentation materials.
Support Development Committee and Board-related development activities as assigned.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of administrative, customer service, nonprofit, fundraising, or related experience.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Monday.com, Hubspot, Classy, and/or other CRM/database systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
Commitment to Guardian Revival's mission and values.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in nonprofit fundraising or donor relations.
Experience with donor databases/CRMs.
Event planning or project coordination experience.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
Occasional evening and weekend work for events.
Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25 pounds.
