Organizational Overview

Guardian Revival is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting military, veterans, first responders, and their families through trauma-informed programming, peer support, and community-based wellness initiatives. Our mission is to revive and preserve the mental health and well-being of those who serve our communities and our nation.

Our programs — all provided free of charge for guardians — include peer support, outdoor activities, music, companion dogs, family events, fitness, wellness experiences, and more. Funds raised from individual donors, foundations, our Champions (athletes), and several campaigns throughout the year (including our One Mile Challenge) enable these life-changing opportunities.

Position Summary

Leading the fundraising efforts, this individual will be responsible for working with the Chief Development Officer to create and implement comprehensive annual fundraising campaigns and events.

This person will manage fundraising events, and related campaigns, in conjunction with internal and external cross-functional teams. The candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the organization’s grant portfolio - including the grant writing processes - as well as the peer-to-peer athletic fundraising program (Champions).

This position requires someone who can complete end-to-end activities from ideation to implementation to post campaign analysis and will ensure our fundraising activities align with our mission and our financial goals. This individual must be able to cultivate meaningful donor relationships and have a proven track record of executing successful campaigns and/or events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute fundraising activities including annual campaigns and programs.

  • Manage the Fundraising Platform and maintain an accurate and up-to-date donor database.

  • Direct the Champions Peer-to-Peer fundraising program.

  • Work with the marketing team to develop communication strategies as well as digital and print materials for fundraising initiatives and donor communication.

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations for campaign activities.

  • Act as a representative of the organization in the community, fostering relationships and partnerships for fundraising opportunities.

  • Ensure all fundraising activities adhere to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in fundraising and donor management; 5+ years of experience

  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Proficiency in donor database software and Google Suite.

  • Ability to organize, implement, and build consensus around fundraising initiatives.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Commitment to the organization's mission and values.
