Kaaterskill High Peak
Join Another Summit and our guest hike leader, Marv Freedman on an adventurous and challenging hike to Kaaterskill High Peak (3652') and Huckleberry Point in the Kaaterskill Wild Forest.
This will be a 9+ mile hike including bushwhacks and a combination of DEC, informal and historic trails, with about 2260' ascent including a challenging/fun scramble over Hurricane Ledge, spectacular views and 2 plane crash sites.

DIFFICULTY: ⬛ Black (very strenuous)
Black hikes are the most difficult of them all. These are recommended only for physically fit, experienced hikers.

About the Leader
Marv Freedman is a retired computer programmer. He currently volunteers as an EMT at South Branch Emergency Services in Hunterdon County, NJ. He previously served on the Catskill Mountain Search and Rescue team, and has maintained his NASAR Wilderness EMT Certification. Marv is a NY State DEC Licensed Guide, and frequently leads hikes for the Catskill Mountain Club, Single Gully, and other organizations.

Our outdoor adventures range from beginner to advanced difficulty levels and are led by certified outdoor leaders. Another Summit’s difficulty rating system considers multiple factors, including elevation, terrain, and frequency of rests.
