Fly Fishing Cohort: June 2026
Journey with Another Summit into the world of fly fishing with our Fly Fishing Cohort. This three session cohort is perfect for those just getting into fly fishing or those who’ve enjoyed it for years.

Fieldcraft Workshop | Firecraft
Every month you can learn a new fieldcraft skill with one of our Fieldcraft Workshops. This month, we’ll be teaching how to safely build, start, and maintain a fire.

Putnam County Veterans’ Town Hall
This second Town Hall builds on the strong response from the first event and continues the mission of reaching veterans and military families—especially those who may not currently be connected to veteran-serving organizations or support services. The purpose of this Town Hall is to raise awareness of and provide access to financial resources available to Putnam County’s military-connected community.
Wallkill River Day Trip
Join us for a day paddle down the Wallkill River. Together, we will meander from Gardiner, NY to New Paltz, NY on the calm tributary.

Adirondacks Canoeing Series 1
Take a break from the summer heat and join us on the first of our 2026 Adirondacks canoe camping trips — a peaceful, relaxing four-day, three-night canoe camping adventure in the gorgeous Adirondack Park, NY

Sunrise Scramble
Join us for a fast-paced early morning hike to the casino ruins on Mount Beacon!

Friday Night Fly Tying
On the last Friday of each month, join us in a fun two-hour fly tying session. No experience necessary, supplies provided!

Family Fishing Day
Join us for a fun, family-friendly fishing outing at Pelton Pond. This event is a collaboration with Another Summit, our outdoor adventure program. Fishing gear & bait and refreshments will be provided. This is one of NY’s free fishing days, no license required.
Kaaterskill Falls
Join us for a 2 mile walk to see New York's highest two-tired waterfall in the Catskills! This iconic hike is perfect for someone who wants to explore New York State's best scenery.

Training: Mental Health Understanding for Peer Support
Learn the skills to recognize and assist a peer, helping promote recovery and resilience. This course is designed to help participants develop a clear and practical understanding of mental health as it relates to effective peer support. Participants will learn how to recognize signs of distress, respond appropriately within their role, and connect individuals to professional and community resources when needed.

We’re welcoming you & your family back to the ballpark this summer to enjoy Hudson Valley Renegades baseball games at their home in Heritage Financial Park. As the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Renegades provide local baseball fans with great games. This Guardian Homefront event is for family members & their guardians (kids welcome!).

Tee off for a fun family day with mini golf and ice cream at the historic Red Rooster Mini Golf & Drive-In. Navigate through obstacles, enjoy friendly competition with fellow guardians & families, and enjoy a sweet treat. This event is for family members & their guardians (kids welcome!).
National Trails Day Cleanup
Join us in celebrating National Trails Day with a trail cleanup at the Hudson Highlands State Park Preserve just outside of Cold Spring, NY.

Looking for an adventure? Come and join Dwyer of Putnam and Another Summit for an intro to canoeing.
Vets Morning Joe
Join fellow Veterans for a morning coffee & casual chat. We’ll buy your first cup to start the day off right! Meet other Veterans in your community for a friendly gathering. This event will happen monthly and will rotate diners in the community.

Mount Beacon Sunrise Hike
Join us for a fast-paced hike to the casino ruins on Mount Beacon! This will be a challenging but rewarding early morning hike to get your day started off right (and with the time to shower before work).

Dwyer Vet2Vet - Pop Smoke
Join fellow veterans for a workweek wind-down and a look ahead to the weekend. This virtual gathering takes place on the first and third Thursdays of each month on Zoom. “Pop” in for some conversation and camaraderie. All veterans are welcome!
GR 5K Run/Walk
We’re bringing the community together for something new: the Guardian Revival 5K. Whether you run or walk, come with the family or form a team with your department, this event is about honoring the guardians who serve our communities every day. We’re encouraging personal bests and friendly rivalry (especially across departments and organizations) with awards for those who rise above the rest.
Backpacking 101
Join us for a beginner friendly backpacking trip in Harriman State Park where you will learn new skills, build new connections and make new memories with your fellow veterans and first responders.

Writing Workshop
You are welcome at our writing workshop whether you have lots of ideas or zero! Join us to discover, create, and express freely in whatever format & style you’d like, in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Instructor Dominika Wrozynski has taught creative writing and literature for 22 years and welcomes veterans into a safe and welcoming space to explore reading & writing.

Join fellow veterans for a workweek wind-down and a look ahead to the weekend. This virtual gathering takes place on the first and third Thursdays of each month on Zoom. “Pop” in for some conversation and camaraderie. All veterans are welcome!
Chester Coffee for Veterans & First Responders
Coffee & Conversation for Veterans & First Responders is a monthly drop-in gathering hosted at the Chester Public Library. Held on the first Tuesday of each month from 1:00–2:00 PM, this relaxed coffee hour offers veterans and first responders a space to connect, share stories, and build community with others who understand the experience of service. Coffee and light refreshments are provided.

Our First Line peer gathering is for Law Enforcement, Fire & Rescue, EMS, Dispatchers, Corrections, and Federal Agents. These gatherings are an open forum and offer an opportunity to listen, learn, and share what's on your mind.
Spring Birding
Join us on a spring birding walk through the woods of Stewart State Forest just outside of Maybrook, NY.

Wappingers Creek Water Derby
Join us as spectators to enjoy watching paddlers charge down Wappingers Creek at the 51st Water Derby! The annual water derby is an 8 mile canoe and kayak race down the scenic Wappingers Creek. Hosted by the Veterans Sportsmens Association in partnership with the Aquatic Explorers Scuba Club.

Yoga Session
Join us for a revitalizing yoga session led by Janel Norton, a veteran and certified yoga instructor. This session is designed to help relax and strengthen both your body and mind. Experience the benefits of yoga, including improved flexibility, muscle strength, and overall well-being.

The Watch Continues
Come together with others who’ve served—on the frontlines or in the field—for an hour of conversation, camaraderie, and mutual support. Whether you want to talk, listen, or simply connect, all are welcome.
Join us every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Board Room – 10:00am to 11:00am. Facilitated by Guardian Revival, not-for-profit organization that improves the mental health & well-being of military, veterans, and first responders — our guardians — and their families, at no cost to them.
