American Military History Series
Join our monthly American Military History series. Come learn more about the Hudson Valley region & its military history.
For this month's American Military History presentation, we will hear from Denise D. VanBuren, the President of the Beacon Historical Society.
From 2019 until 2022, Denise served as the President General of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, headquartered in Washington, D.C. As such, she was afforded the privilege of traveling with members of the Society of the Tomb Guards of the Unknown Soldier to recreate the events of 1921 that resulted in America's Tomb at Arlington National Cemetery. She will bring us along on that journey via a PowerPoint program.
