Fly Fishing Cohort: May 2026
Journey with Another Summit into the world of fly fishing with our Fly Fishing Cohort. This three session cohort is perfect for those just getting into fly fishing or those who’ve enjoyed it for years.

Fieldcraft Workshop | Firecraft
Every month you can learn a new fieldcraft skill with one of our Fieldcraft Workshops. This month, we’ll be teaching how to safely build, start, and maintain a fire.

Backpacking 101
Join us for a beginner friendly backpacking trip in Harriman State Park where you will learn new skills, build new connections and make new memories with your fellow veterans and first responders.

Mount Beacon Sunrise Hike
Join us for a 6 AM for a fast-paced hike to the casino ruins on Mount Beacon! This will be a challenging but rewarding early-morning hike to get your day started off right (and with the time to shower before work). DIFFICULTY: ⬛ Black (very strenuous)
Friday Night Fly Tying
On the last Friday of each month, join us in a fun two-hour fly tying session. No experience necessary, supplies provided!

National Trails Day Cleanup
Join us in celebrating National Trails Day with a trail cleanup at the Hudson Highlands State Park Preserve just outside of Cold Spring, NY.
DIFFICULTY: 🟩 Green (moderate)
Family Baseball Night
We’re welcoming you & your family back to the ballpark this summer to enjoy Hudson Valley Renegades baseball games at their home in Heritage Financial Park. As the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Renegades provide local baseball fans with great games. This Guardian Homefront event is for family members & their guardians (kids welcome!).
Couples Picnic & Play in the Park
Enjoy a picnic and a live performance at the renowned Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (HVSF). We’ll be watching, As You Like It. Enjoy Shakespeare’s bucolic romantic comedy against the backdrop of the Hudson River valley in this celebration of love, identity, and transformation. Enjoy this open-air production and indulge in a pre-show picnic on the grounds as you enjoy a couples-only date night at no cost. This Guardian Homefront/Dwyer Vet2Vet event is for couples (spouses / partners and their guardians).

Every month you can learn a new fieldcraft skill with one of our Fieldcraft Workshops. This month, we’ll be teaching essential knots and configurations for emergency tarp shelters.

Family Ice Skating Day
Looking for a perfect February family outing? Join us at Brewster Ice Arena for an unforgettable day of ice skating, laughter, and fun! Whether you're gliding like a pro or wobbling your way across the rink for the first time, this event is for everyone. Skate rentals and ice time are included, so all you need to bring is your family and your excitement!
Fahnestock Day Hike
Join us for an easy 2.4-mile day hike through the scenic forest of Fahnestock State Park in Putnam County.

Interested in giving back to your community by leading therapeutic outdoor adventures? This accelerated 2-part weekend course teaches you everything you need to know to volunteer as an outdoor leader for Another Summit.
