Iron Mine Loop
Join our outdoor leaders on an adventurous 5.4-mile loop-style hike that brings you through the scenic forest of Fahnestock State Park in Putnam County.
This route covers a combination of gravel road, natural footpaths, and a section of the Appalachian Trail, with about 930 ft of total elevation gain. Along the way, you'll move through groves of oak, maple, beech, and an old patch of pine and hemlock, as well as several ponds and streams.
