Opt Outside 2025
This Black Friday, skip the shopping fever and Opt Outside with your fellow guardians, friends, and family!
Shake of that Thanksgiving dinner and join us for a 4.25-mile out-and-back hike to the Mount Beacon Fire Tower this Black Friday. The climb is steep, but the panoramic view at the casino ruins and the 360-degree views from atop the fire tower make it all worth it!
Bring a mug for hot drinks, something to sit on, and your holiday spirit!

Another Summit organizes and leads outdoor adventure activities — such as walking, hiking, backpacking, and paddling — in the Hudson Valley Region of New York & across the Northeast.
We welcome guardians of all ages and ability levels, including those with accessibility needs, and we work to facilitate access throughout the Hudson Valley and NYC area.
Our outdoor adventures range from beginner to advanced difficulty levels and are led by certified outdoor leaders. Another Summit’s difficulty rating system considers multiple factors, including elevation, terrain, and frequency of rests.
