Fahnestock Day Hike
Join our us for a moderately strenuous 5.24-mile day hike through the scenic forest of Fahnestock State Park in Putnam County.
This loop style route brings us along a section of the Appalachian Trail in Fahnestock State Park all the way to Canopus Lake, over rugged footpaths and the occasional short scramble. As we walk through through groves of maples, oaks, beeches, and hemlock, we may spot some of New York's elusive local wildlife.
