Gearing Up for Another Summit’s 2026 Adventures

Beginner Bird Watching Guide by Another Summit
Birding offers a chance to slow down, look around, and pay attention to the world and the animals that we might otherwise overlook. And anyone can do it! You don’t even have to go far to start birding. Our Another Summit outdoor program Executive Director Henri de la Vega shares some tips for beginner birders (including basic gear and guides), along with photos taken on a few of our Another Summit outings, both on our birding-focused nature walks and other adventures where birds have been spotted!
Fly Tying Workshops with Another Summit
On the last Friday of each month, our Another Summit outdoors program invites guardians and their friends & family to slow down, work with their hands, and connect over a shared table for Friday Night Fly Tying — a relaxed, two-hour evening workshop that welcomes complete beginners and experienced fly tiers alike. Come enjoy a low-pressure way to learn something new and leave with something you made yourself.
Discover the Joy of Fly Fishing with Another Summit
Whether you're brand new to fly fishing or looking to refine your technique, Another Summit invites you to join a year-long journey into the world of fly fishing alongside fellow guardians. This cohort-style course is designed for anglers of all levels.
